Celebrating the International Day of Photonics, 2016

In the framework of the International Day of Photonics, held on 21 Oct, we welcomed students to our major facilities in Vilanova i la Geltrú. Staff of the company (engineers and physicists specialized in Photonics) explained how our laser devices are designed and manufactured in our labs and R&D department. The event was organized in cooperation with the Executive Committee of the Master in Photonics of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (BarcelonaTech) and the Vilanova i la Geltrú School of Engineering (EPSEVG).

The event was rewarding for both parties, students and employees, who shared their knowledge and experience in Photonics. The students highly appreciated the work sessions charged with technical content and the entrance to a specially delicate areas as our clean rooms and labs. Our staff stayed close and encouraged all parties participation during the sessions. We enjoyed the visit as much as our young visitors.

Due to the big success of the event we will schedule the visit annually.
