2 µm laser FLEX Series expand Monocrom capabilities for the healthcare industry in branches such as internal medicine and eye surgery. It empowers medical devices for Cardiovascular Surgery, Transmyocardial Revascularization, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) treatment, Lithotripsy, Refractive Eye Surgery and Laser Thermal Keratoplasty (LTK).
The industrial market will also benefit from this new technology, especially the laser processing of polymers sector. 2 µm direct diode laser modules are ideal for direct laser plastic welding (clear-to-clear), laser marking and laser engraving. From 2 µm and above, most plastics tend to become more absorptive and bulk energy deposition is possible.
