This year's edition of the Monocrom Award for the best Master's Final Project has been granted to Javier Prada Rodrigo, in recognition of his work "Functionalization of polymeric nanocomposite surfaces using LIPSS (Laser Induced Periodic Surface Structures)". Javier Prada obtained his master's degree in June and is currently hired in the Laser and Photonics Applications Group of the University of Salamanca, through the FPU training program of the Ministry of Education. The Master in Physics and Technology of Lasers, organized jointly by the Universities of Salamanca
and Valladolid, has been training researchers and laser specialists for more than ten years.
Monocrom grants the Best Final Master's Project Award once every academic year with the aim of supporting education, promoting research projects in photonics and recognising outstanding laser specialists.
