Monocrom is established in 1993 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona area. Since then, our vision has been to grow as a global market leader in the semiconductor laser industry serving high quality laser diode systems and custom laser solutions. A continued improvement and commitment to excellence are the basis of our business practices.
Monocrom is an UNE EN ISO 9001:2015 registered laser company located in one of Europe’s pioneering regions in photonics. Our portfolio of diode lasers comprises standard and custom-made solutions for the medical, industrial and defense industries among others. Our laser systems are designed to meet the most demanding requirements in material processing, ophthalmology, dermatology and aesthetics, imaging, security, life-science and research applications.

Our facilities
Production
Clean room area
Our production facillities comprise clean rooms (class ISO8 and class ISO5 certified) devoted to manufacturing our laser diodes and DPSSL under optimal cleanness conditions. Thus, our laser products maximize their performance and lifetime.
Chemical laboratory
We apply most of the treatments needed in our production process in our chemical lab. From the simplest surface cleaning to the most complex coating to improve the conductivity of our high power laser diode bar assemblies.
Machinery park
A wide machinery park allows us to perform any manufacturing process in Monocrom. Therefore, we speed up the prototyping process and the pre-series, shortening the time-to-market for our customers. Furthermore, keeping a machinary park in-house eases the continuous improvement of our laser products.
R&D
Optical Lab
Our R&D facillities comprises an independent class ISO8 area with ISO5 flow boxes, equipped with cutting edge instruments for the development of new concepts and products. This way we ensure the production and R&D can work close but without interfering.
Operations
We outsource some of the processes and services for serial productions and mid and large size productions. Nevertheless, we rely on homologated partners that are coordinated and controlled from Monocrom.
