El proyecto Exomars de la Agencia Espacial Europea es el mayor desafío en desarrollo láser que Monocrom ha enfrentado hasta hoy. El programa, establecido para la investigación de restos de vida pasada y presente en Marte ha otorgado a Monocrom el desarrollo de un láser de estado sólido bombeado por diodo para la misión al Planeta Rojo en 2020.
